Bearing the traces of the thousands of years of human history, Anatolia has always been a centre of attraction with its natural, cultural and archeological beauties. Located on both sides (Europe and Asia) of the Dardanelles Strait, Çanakkale has been one of the major areas of settlement throughout the ages in which many events that changed the course of history took place. From the first philosophers to gods, this land has witnessed many firsts and is like an open-air museum.

Alexander the Great set foot on Asia here and the Turks used this location to cross to Europe for the first time in history. It is also one of the most prominent cities in cultural tourism with the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park, Troia Historical National Park, which is included in Unesco’s World Heritage List, ethnography museums, an archeology museum, several excavation sites and many other archeological sites.
